The Federal Office for Information Security (BMI) has awarded CompanyFlex SIP-Trunk the C5 certificate! C5 stands for the Cloud Computing Compliance Criteria Catalogue and sets out minimum information security requirements for cloud-based services, which must not be fallen short of. Unlike other security standards, the criteria catalogue also takes so-called environmental parameters into account, thereby providing an important guide for businesses and public authorities when searching for a trustworthy provider. The certification is carried out by an independent third party, in accordance with international standards (ISAE 3000), and is reviewed annually.

A cloud PBX (PBX: Private Branch Exchange is the English term for a telephone system) is a software-based telephone system in which all functions are managed in a provider’s data centre and delivered via the internet using Voice over IP (VoIP). An on-premises telephone system with hardware and cabling is no longer necessary.
